Manual measurement feedback application. Digitalization in companies of manufacturing industry DiVa-project

The solution is an application, which enables the streamlining of manual quality control process, i.e. creating measurement protocols and adjusting tool wear offsets.

There hasn’t been rather many innovations lately in manual quality control (QC) process of machine shops, even though there’s still plenty of room for improvement. We built a PoC-application during the latter parts of DiVa-project, which streamlines the manual QC-process by:

-Creating and saving part-specific templates for measurement protocols.
-Receiving measurement data from any measuring tool equipped with Bluetooth technology.
-Calculating the need for tool wear offset adjustments, based on tolerance limits and the received data.
-Sends the wear offset data to the machine tool, which adjusts the correct offsets via subprogram.
-Creating a measurement protocol with work number and date information, to be used for documentation, either externally or internally.
